We believe that these serial murders should not be reduced to sensationalized headlines like "The Murder Capital of the World". We examine their deep ties to NAFTA, border maquiladoras, and the local government's links to drug cartels. This issue also features works from friends who support the launch of Toxic Weeds, preserving a record of the lives and thoughts of contemporary young people in Taipei.
